Jumper Community Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 4th of july 2025.

The Jumper Community (hereinafter referred to as THE PLATFORM) is a social community offered by JUMPEOPLE CORP. (a company duly registered in the Public Registry of Panama in the Mercantile Section, Folio No. 155744979, headquartered in Panama City, Republic of Panama, specifically at Juan Díaz, Costa del Este, Financial Park Building, Tower 100, 41G Floor), aimed at users of the platform jumpeople.com who wish to share travel experiences, recommendations, photographs, locations, personal reflections, and other types of user-generated content.

This community’s objective is to foster authentic interaction among travelers, create an enriching digital environment, and strengthen bonds among members with similar interests.

By allowing open participation of users, the Jumper Community becomes a space for personal and collective expression.

This document establishes the specific Terms and Conditions governing the use of the Jumper Community. These terms complement, without replacing, the General Terms and Conditions of Jumpeople, as well as the Privacy Policy and other terms and conditions of the jumpeople.com website. All participation in the Jumper Community is subject to strict compliance with the provisions contained in this document, whose acceptance is an indispensable requirement for using this feature.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. reserves the right to update, modify, or partially or totally delete these Terms and Conditions at any time, with immediate effect upon publication. Substantial changes will be notified through reasonable means, including, where appropriate, a visible notice on the platform and/or an email sent to registered users.

By using this feature, the user declares to have read, understood, and fully accepted the content of this document, as well as any supplementary rules that JUMPEOPLE CORP. may publish to preserve proper use of the platform. If the user does not agree with any of the terms established herein, they must refrain from using the Jumper Community.

Participation in the Jumper Community is conditioned upon creating a valid account on the platform. This account constitutes the means through which the user can interact with other members, publish content, comment, react, and access additional features offered by the platform. The account is personal, non-transferable, and must be linked to real data that allows for its proper management.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. is not responsible for the truthfulness, accuracy, or validity of the information registered by the user, nor for any damages that may result from errors, omissions, or falsehoods in the data provided. In case the user enters incorrect, incomplete, false, or fraudulent information, JUMPEOPLE CORP. reserves the right to suspend or cancel the account without prior notice, as well as to restrict access to the Platform temporarily or permanently, depending on the severity of the case.

Registration and use of the account are subject to these Terms and Conditions of the Community, as well as the General Terms of Jumpeople, the Privacy Policy, and other terms and conditions of the platform, which form an integral part of the legal framework for using jumpeople.com.

In compliance with the current legislation of the Republic of Panama, only persons who have reached the age of eighteen (18), the legal age to acquire full civil capacity, may register in the Jumper Community. Upon registration, the user declares under oath and full responsibility that they meet this requirement. JUMPEOPLE CORP. will assume no obligation regarding accounts fraudulently created by minors or by persons lacking the legal capacity to contract or use this type of service.

Users may register either through the main site jumpeople.com or directly from the digital environment of the Jumper Community. However, having an active account on jumpeople.com automatically grants access to the Jumper Community without requiring additional or separate registration. During the registration process, whether on the main site or within the community interface, certain personal data will be requested, such as full name, valid email address, country of residence, and password.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. may establish additional identity verification or two-step authentication requirements when deemed necessary to ensure user security and platform integrity. In specific cases, a copy of identification documents, photographs, or any other suitable means may be requested to verify account ownership, especially in cases of complaints, disputes, or legal claims.

The custody of access credentials is the exclusive responsibility of the account holder. In case of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or suspicion of security breach, the user must immediately notify the JUMPEOPLE CORP. support team via the contact form (insert contact form link of jumpeople.com). Failure to provide such notification may result in administrative or legal consequences. Under no circumstances shall JUMPEOPLE CORP. be liable for damages resulting from unauthorized account access attributable to user negligence or carelessness.

The Jumper Community is designed as a non-commercial expression tool for users. Its use must be exclusively directed towards sharing personal content related to travel, discoveries, cultural anecdotes, and opinions, with the objective of enriching collective knowledge, supporting other members, and strengthening the digital community fabric around real experiences.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. expressly prohibits the use of this functionality for purely commercial, promotional, advertising, or political purposes.

Content must arise from authentic experiences, without the intention to manipulate, alter, or misinform, and must respect the fundamental principles of the platform: truthfulness, respect, plurality, security, diversity, and legality.

Users may share content in various formats, provided it aligns with the social and cultural purpose of the Community. Permitted content includes:

  • Photographs
  • Original travel stories, provided they do not violate the privacy of third parties or include unauthorized sensitive content.
  • Reviews, opinions, and recommendations about visited places, activities carried out, tourist establishments, transportation means, or gastronomic options, as long as they come from real experiences.
  • Cultural, social, or personal reflections related to the travel experience.
  • Meeting people while traveling and sharing plans to meet other travelers.
  • Questions or constructive exchanges with other users about destinations, routes, or local customs.

Content published by users must be respectful, truthful, useful, and consistent with the platform’s values and objectives. It is strictly forbidden to share false or misleading information or use language or images that are offensive, vulgar, obscene, violent, discriminatory, or incite hatred. Every publication must foster responsible, safe, and constructive communication within the community. JUMPEOPLE CORP. is not responsible for the content of user publications on the platform, as it forms part of the user experience.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. may set reasonable technical limits to control the volume and frequency of interactions and reserves the right to intervene in publications, comments, or threads that deviate from the original purpose or threaten the harmony of the digital space.

The user is fully responsible for the content they publish and for any legal, technical, or community consequences arising from their actions within the Jumper Community. By publishing any content, the user acknowledges that:

  • They are the legitimate author of the material or hold all necessary rights for its distribution.
  • They are not violating any law, coexistence rule, or third-party rights.
  • They are voluntarily contributing to the development of a positive community.
  • They accept that their participation may be moderated, edited, or removed if it violates these Terms and Conditions.

Additionally, the user understands that content published in the Jumper Community may be visible to other members and, in some cases, indexed by external search engines. Although JUMPEOPLE CORP. will do its best to protect user privacy, it is not responsible for the persistence of posts on the internet if they were publicly shared and subsequently disseminated by third parties.

If the user wishes to delete specific posts or their entire account, they may do so through the available tools, according to the Privacy Policy and the relevant sections of this document.

User-generated content is defined as any publication made by a community member, whether in the form of text, image, illustration, comment, review, experience, guide, link, meme, graphic material, or any other format allowed by the available tools.

Content shared by users in the Jumper Community is and will remain the intellectual property of its author (JUMPEOPLE CORP.), unless expressly stated otherwise.

The user agrees that any dispute arising from content ownership will be their sole responsibility and will indemnify JUMPEOPLE CORP. against any legal claims by third parties.

By publishing content within the Jumper Community, the user automatically grants JUMPEOPLE CORP. and its affiliated companies a non-exclusive, free, irrevocable, worldwide, and indefinite license for use within the social, editorial, and community purposes of the platform. This license does not transfer content ownership nor authorize its commercial exploitation outside the Jumper Community ecosystem without the author’s express consent, for purposes including but not limited to:

  • Storing and backing up content on physical or virtual servers, including backups.
  • Reproducing content on the platform for technical operation, loading, and display purposes.
  • Publicly communicating it within the Jumpeople ecosystem, including newsletters, internal searches, community highlights, and bulletins.
  • Adapting content to different formats, devices, or resolutions while maintaining its conceptual integrity.
  • Translating content if necessary for informational purposes in other languages within the platform.
  • Promoting content on official social media, corporate channels, or institutional pieces, always respecting author attribution.

The user understands that although they retain ownership of their content, by making it public within the Jumper Community they accept that:

  • Other members may view, react, comment, or share the content within the community environment.
  • Some content (especially that highlighted by the editorial team or highly rated by the community) may be promoted within Jumpeople and related services.

Other users or third parties are not allowed to:

  • Download or redistribute content outside the platform without authorization.
  • Use content for commercial purposes without the author’s consent.
  • Alter, modify, or manipulate content to discredit the author or community.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. complies with international standards regarding digital rights protection and has adopted an internal notification and removal procedure for allegedly infringing content.

If a person or entity considers that certain content infringes their copyright, image, or privacy rights, they may contact us through the “Contact Us” tab at the bottom of the page. The request must include:

  • The exact link or detailed description of the reported content.
  • Identification of the complainant (name, email, identification document).
  • Proof of the infringed right (trademark registration, copyright certificate, denied consent, or any other legal evidence validating ownership).
  • A signed statement affirming the truthfulness of the information provided and assuming responsibility for any malicious claims.

Upon receipt, JUMPEOPLE CORP. may:

  • Temporarily remove the content while analyzing the case.
  • Notify the content author to allow them to exercise their right of reply.
  • Request complementary evidence.
  • Resolve within a reasonable timeframe, prioritizing respect for fundamental rights.

Malicious, false, or abusive claims may result in account blocking or reporting to authorities if applicable.

Users may edit or delete their content at any time via their personal account, provided that:

  • There is no open complaint regarding said content.
  • It has not been institutionally promoted by Jumpeople (e.g., published in newsletters).
  • It is not subject to a judicial preservation request.

Once deleted, content may be immediately removed from the frontend, although certain technical copies (cache, backups, internal logs) may be retained temporarily for security, auditing, or legal compliance purposes.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. reserves the right to preserve deleted content for legal reasons when there is a court order, fiscal investigation, authority request, or legitimate community protection interest.

If content has been highlighted by JUMPEOPLE CORP. on official channels (e.g., bulletins, social networks, institutional publications), the user may request personal disassociation. This may include, when technically feasible, anonymizing the author, partially hiding content, or substituting personal references.

However, retroactive removal of material already publicly disseminated by the company cannot be demanded if such dissemination was lawful at the time of publication, except upon judicial or legal request. In any case, JUMPEOPLE CORP. commits to handling disassociation requests in good faith, within reasonable technical, legal, and editorial limits.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. promotes free, spontaneous, and safe participation within the Jumper Community, guided by common ethical principles and clear, proportional, and transparent moderation mechanisms. All members must comply with the following basic rules of coexistence:

  • Mutual Respect: Personal attacks, mockery, harassment, or offensive language towards other users or groups are prohibited.
  • Diversity and Pluralism: The existence of differing opinions, diverse cultural backgrounds, and multiple identities and orientations must be respected.
  • Truthfulness and Good Faith: Publications must be based on real facts and not seek to manipulate, deceive, or misinform.
  • Non-Discrimination: Any content promoting, inciting, or reflecting discriminatory attitudes will be removed and may lead to sanctions depending on severity.
  • Digital Responsibility: Each user is responsible for the content they publish and its legal, social, or community consequences.

The platform implements a mixed moderation system consisting of automated, internal editorial, and community moderation:

A. Automated Preventive Moderation

  • Detects offensive language, explicit images, spam, nudity, or other anomalous behaviors.
  • Can hide content until manual review.
  • Can restrict repetitive actions or alert the team about suspicious accounts.

B. Internal Editorial Moderation

  • Human team reviews highlighted posts, reports, and users with irregular history.
  • Can remove, archive, or sanction posts or accounts as per these Terms.

C. Community Moderation

  • Users can report posts, comments, images, or profiles throughout the platform.
  • Reports must include an explanatory comment providing context.
  • Repeated reports on a user may trigger automatic preventive measures such as temporary function limitations.

Sanctions by JUMPEOPLE CORP. can be progressive or immediate, depending on severity and recurrence:

  • Private Warning: Notification explaining the infraction and suggestions to avoid future sanctions.
  • Content Removal: May be immediate, with or without notification, if the content poses a risk.
  • Temporary Account Suspension: From 3 to 30 days, with email notification and details of the infraction.
  • Permanent Account Cancellation: Irreversible profile deletion for repeat offenses, illegal acts, impersonation, or fraud.
  • Reporting to Authorities: In case of serious crimes (grooming, child pornography, threats, etc.), authorities will be notified according to Panamanian law.

Measures: Warning, temporary content blocking, internal record.

Serious Infractions
Examples: Repeated harassment, discriminatory comments, harmful deepfakes, indirect incitement to violence, defamatory manipulation, evading blocks.
Measures: Temporary suspension (24–72 hours or more), content removal, possible IP blocking, warning of permanent termination.

  • Request review by submitting an appeal via the “Contact Us” section within five (5) business days of the sanction.
  • Attach evidence, explanations, or corrections.
  • Receive a reasoned response from the legal team within no more than ten (10) business days.

During review, the sanction may remain as a precaution. If found excessive or unfounded, the user’s rights will be reinstated without affecting their record.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. periodically reviews its moderation policies, adjusting them to technological, social, and legal changes. An annual Transparency Report will be published including:

  • Number of reports received.
  • Most frequent types of infractions.
  • Measures applied.
  • Collaboration with authorities or external entities.

The platform may retain technical records and metadata for a maximum of five (5) years, exclusively for legal defense or regulatory compliance, pursuant to Panama’s Law 81 of 2019.

The platform allows users to interact openly through comments, replies, mentions, reactions, collaborative posts, and other digital participation mechanisms.

Users must refrain from using these spaces to disseminate messages that:

  • Promote contempt, mockery, or intentional provocation towards other users.
  • Use offensive, obscene, or rude language, even if it does not include direct insults.
  • Make excessive use of capital letters (which can be interpreted as “digital shouting”).
  • Abuse emojis or stickers in a sarcastic or harassing manner to humiliate others.
  • Advertise products, services, accounts, or links without express authorization.
  • Promote rumors, conspiracy theories, discriminatory speeches, or misleading content disguised as humor, irony, or sarcasm.
  • Repeatedly disrupt the flow of a conversation through trolling or irrelevant interruptions.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. reserves the right to hide, moderate, or delete any comment that violates these rules, as well as to temporarily or permanently restrict the use of public spaces for users who commit serious or repeated offenses.

Private messaging is governed by the following principles of responsible use:

  • Messages can be sent to users and following another user will be understood as consent to receive messages.
  • It is prohibited to use messaging to harass, threaten, emotionally manipulate, or extort other users.
  • Reports of misuse of messaging will be treated confidentially. This may lead to history review and disciplinary sanctions. To report such messages, please contact us via the “Contact Us” window at the bottom of the page.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. does not proactively access or monitor private conversations but may audit specific messages when there is a duly substantiated complaint, always under criteria of proportionality and necessity.

Abusive practices affecting system integrity or other users’ experience are strictly prohibited, including:

  • Use of bots, scripts, or automation of posts, reactions, or comments.
  • Mass or systematic sending of unsolicited messages (spam), either publicly or via direct messaging.
  • Creation of fake, duplicate, or impersonated accounts aimed at deception, evasion of sanctions, manipulation of trends, or inflating metrics.
  • Use of artificial engagement strategies, such as coordinated groups to alter content ranking, mass following without real interest, or like exchanges through external agreements.
  • Use of the platform for covert advertising, recruitment for pyramid schemes, or misleading links with unauthorized commercial intentions.

These actions may result in automatic suspension by the system without prior warning and with possible reporting to authorities if there is evidence of cybercrime or digital fraud.

Users commit to:

  • Treat others with dignity and courtesy, even when disagreements arise.
  • Respect each person’s right to participate or not in debates or conversations.
  • Not pressure others to reveal personal data, show sensitive content, or take sides in unrelated conflicts.
  • Refrain from publicly harassing sanctioned, silenced, or reported users.
  • Be aware of the emotional impact of their words and the social environment in which they express themselves.
  • Understand that humor, double meanings, or irony can be misinterpreted digitally and that intent does not always justify impact.

Although Jumper Community allows the use of avatars, this does not exempt the user from responsibility for their conduct nor authorize the creation of fictional characters intended to evade behavioral rules.

All users commit to:

  • Not assume others’ identities (whether real, institutional, or public figures).
  • Not falsify ties to verified organizations, brands, or entities.
  • Not feign anonymity to harass or harm others, even if not revealed.

The user expressly agrees that:

  • Everything they publish, share, or receive on Jumper Community is done under their own judgment and risk, without any liability for JUMPEOPLE CORP.
  • They are solely responsible for any legal, civil, commercial, or reputational consequences arising from their actions, expressions, or publications.
  • The platform does not guarantee truthfulness, nor does it offer any endorsement or validation of the content generated by the community.
  • They assume full responsibility for any interaction with other users, including messages, comments, reactions, tags, or mentions.
  • They must defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JUMPEOPLE CORP. against any third-party claims arising from their use of the platform, including legal costs, fees, penalties, or damages.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. limits its maximum cumulative liability, in case a competent court determines direct and unavoidable liability, to an amount not exceeding ZERO UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $0.00). The user expressly waives any claim for compensation, unless Panamanian law expressly prohibits this clause, in which case the legal minimum shall apply.

JUMPEOPLE will not be responsible, under any circumstances, for:

  • Acts of third parties, such as external service providers, volunteer moderators, connected social networks, or authentication platforms.
  • Any damage resulting from viruses, cyberattacks, bugs, technical failures, network errors, connection problems, browser incompatibilities, or system interruptions.
  • Changes, modifications, suspensions, or removal of functions or platform sections.
  • Force majeure, unforeseen events, or any circumstance beyond JUMPEOPLE’s reasonable control.

JUMPEOPLE may, without prior notice and without incurring any liability:

  • Remove content that infringes the law, even if not reported.
  • Suspend or cancel accounts involved in suspicious or contrary activities to these Terms.
  • Retain technical records when required by law.
  • Cooperate with national or foreign judicial or administrative authorities, without such cooperation implying liability or admission of guilt.
  • Share the minimum necessary data to investigate possible crimes, in accordance with Law 81 of 2019, the Panamanian Penal Code, and current international agreements.

Use of the platform does not create between the user and JUMPEOPLE:

  • Any additional contractual, labor, associative, representation, or mandate relationship.
  • Any obligation of active monitoring, personalized supervision, or guarantee of response to all reports.
  • Any duty of result, except those expressly indicated in these Terms.

JUMPEOPLE CORP. is fully exempt from any liability related to the use of Jumper Community, acting merely as a neutral technological intermediary without direct participation in content, behavior, or individual decisions of its users.

It is clarified that the user assumes any judicial action filed outside Panamanian territory will be considered invalid and ineffective, releasing JUMPEOPLE CORP. from any obligation to respond, appear, or submit to such action. The platform reserves the right to exercise all procedural defenses for dismissal and rejection of such actions, including requesting costs and expenses caused by improper or abusive processes.

The official language of this contract is Spanish, which constitutes the authentic and binding version. Any translation into other languages is purely informative and cannot be invoked for the interpretation, modification, or repeal of the terms herein. In case of discrepancy between versions, the Spanish version shall prevail.

Finally, it is established that the eventual invalidity or unenforceability of any provision contained in this clause or in the general contract will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. In case of partial nullity, the parties agree to replace the affected clause with another that aligns as closely as possible with the original intention, ensuring the legal continuity of the agreement.

In summary, the user acknowledges that use of the platform is voluntary and at their sole risk, and any controversy will preferably be addressed through appropriate extrajudicial, private, confidential, and neutral mechanisms. Should a conflict arise between the user and JUMPEOPLE CORP., both parties agree to attempt resolution via private digital mediation administered by the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of the Panama Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, according to its regulations, before resorting to judicial proceedings. Only if no agreement is reached may the ordinary courts of the Republic of Panama be approached.
